I wasn't aware (until I downloaded the file) that your "version" of CTFTool GUI v5b2 for 6.60 was "only" the 6.60 .rco and .prx files... It's illegal to share OFW prx and rco files. Please don't let it happen again.

hey, just a question about this, (this is just a genuine thought, not any sort of challenge to your decision ) but if we can share CTFs, why cant we share PRXs and RCOs? (I guess because in a ctf theme, they are customised?) and also why are we allowed to share CTF tool because it contains heaps of OFW PRXs and RCOs?

Mmm for once i need to speak a bit,

1.the file he post it is password protected & directly to the liver =>
(If you don't know what the link has no one can't complain about it)

2.this is why he did not add the password to the link.

3. is normal that you can share a password file as long
you don't post the password on the post one thing he did (mistake)
always someone start complaining like always,people if it has pass
is for a reason, Scott next time do not post the password at all.

if someone can see what you post,and you tell them
to Pm you for the pass that is that Pm only,no posting here ok.

I don't think you guys are quite understanding where I'm coming from here... What you do off of this board is none of my concern, but the rules of this forum (and the laws of certain countries) prevent the sharing of copyrighted files (like the .prx and .rco files that were the only things contained in the download link). It wouldn't be very cool for anyone if this site got shut down over something so trivial as copyright infringement... We all know how crazy Sony can get with their files being shared.

Edit : About the "why can we share CTFTool" questions : The line is very thin when it comes to that. If you're actually sharing a modified version of CTFTool GUI then we usually let it slide but simple posting a folder with Sony copyrighted .prx and .rco files is always going to be a no no.

then why is ctf gui tool allow to be downloaded from this forums?
cause when you download ctf gui tool if you have notice it has Prx files
in the Ofw base folder,from 371 to 639 complete in a package,ctf gui tool
has Ofw files Prx's and Rco's so why is it Illegal one thing and not another?
and don't say is because they are decrypted cause they still the same files
of the Ofw, just a bit confuse that's all.

That's where the "thin line" comes into play with this... It's mainly because it's part of a larger tool that the mods/admins here have let sharing of it slide but like I pointed out earlier, simply putting the .rco and prx files into a folder and sharing them is basically blatant copyright infringement and will always get noticed by the copyright holder (if they're looking which Sony tends to do a lot of these days).

I think this issue has been discussed enough for it to be understood by everyone involved (and those of you who are just bystanders) so nothing more needs to be said.
