PSProtectMySystem by FraPSP98

Post by frapsp98 » Sun May 29, 2011 9:21 pm

Hello Everyone Today I Want to share with you my new creation :)

Homebrew-Name : PSProtectMySystem
Homebrew-Developer : FraPSP98
Homebrew-Version : v1.00
Homebrew-Donwload page : http://www.multiupload.com/TE3WIP7VDJ

This Homebrew serves to protect your PSP with a Password that will be required at the startup of the system.
This Homebrew is very useful to protect your PSP and your data from unwanted people.
Surely if your friends are experts of PSP, this application will not be very useful.
But if your friends aren't experts in this field, this Homebrew can be enough useful to prevent that them can access
It will be possible to decide if use as password a keyboard mode or one made of only numbers.
There's a little guide to install this Homebrew :
1)Paste the folders "seplugins" , "PSP" and "LPHMDRIVERMOD" in the root of the PSP.
2)Load from the game menu the configurator .
3)Choose if install the vKeyboard or the vNumerical.(The default password for the vKeyboard is "a" without quotes , for the vNumerical is 12345).
4)Set the password from the option "Change vXXXXXX password".
5)Turn off your PSP and restart it.

If you want to disinstall the application you just can go on the configurator and use the option "Uninstall PSProtectMySystem"

NB. Every time you install the PSProtectMySystem from "Install PSProtect vXXXXXXX" the password of vXXXXXXX will be reset (default password)

Thanks to:

Homebrew tested on 6.39 ME-2 with PSP 1004

Greetings to all: D
If you find bugs please report them :D

lockdown the Z
i did try and make it work on 6.20 tn and pro but didnt work, well the 1st time worked when you enter the buttons and set when you want it to be used etc "on start up" or "return to xmb" and when i done that it boots normal to xmb but when you fully turn it off and turn it back on it just goes straight to xmb, so someone could look at the source code which can be found on google code
http://lockdownpack.googlecode.com/svn/trunk
Hope that clears this

this is what im waiting for...you rock!!

my opinion:
make it look realistic like xmb waves are waving and put a lockcode for its configurator..
and when you enter your password its turn into asterisk (*)

waiting for updates!!!

I'm sorry for double post , But it is strange : I have everything worked perfectly ...
I'm doing the tests on 6.20 and perhaps don't work on 6.20...
In the meantime you try to be most precise possible in the reports , because don't have found bug...
