I've checked with google and wikipedia. They are using the color to give the pixel a certain depth. With the transparent looking chromadepth-glasses the 3d holo effect appears. However, this seem to be on the one hand much difficult to reproduce such coloring dependend from the depth of the object on your PSP while playing a game and on the other hand you will most likely loose the original color of the object. The technique requires red objects being close to the viewer and blue ones being far away. For some games it would make it from my point of view impossible to get a well colored 3d viewing if the guy in front of the viewer is wearing blue pants
