Those are things that were parts of the initial concept, I remember npt being very explicit about that. He wanted massive prizes, and the best solution for that was to be as broad as possible: no categories, no dozens of winners, just a few winners with big prizes. That being said, some of the smaller prizes are trying to change this a little bit. As I said for example, this audience prize will go to the homebrew with the most votes, provided that homebrew is not already one of the big winners. I will do the same for my own 100$ prize to my favorite open source entry, I will give it to a homebrew that hasn't won't something else already...etc...

I also have no control of the "other" big prizes from psp-hacks and pspgen. Maybe they will come up with special rules on their own... I heard from Magixien that pspgen's votes are going to start today. And we're talking of massive prizes from pspgen too: 500$, 300$, and 200$. For "usual" competitions, 300$ is what the big winners get, and here 300$ is the second place of an alternate voting!

I guess what I'm saying is, because the competition has massive prizes, we were expecting a few massive entries. I personally think procfw is one of them, and those massive entries are what make this competition so special. Now, it would be great to see some of the "not so massive" entries get at least some recognition, even if they don't win. I sent to the other judges my list of "potential winners", the homebrews I really love in this competition. There are 28 of them, and choosing the 3 winners from there is not an easy task. I'm probably going to make an article about those 28, after the winners are decided/announced.

It does seem unfair but it actually isnt. It's actually not. Either way good luck to all. Sweet according to Wololo, the pspgen votes start today.

hmm aloader is a part of pro hen so this is a winning brew to. I´m really suprised that the forum does vote such massive for the 1 game u know ;) me not well; should i play it ... seems like it is not my kind of favourite games. Whatever i change 3times my vote  but i think it doesn´t help. I´m really sorry that i could give a part of my vote to more than 1 entrie but 1 is better than not any.

..may some competition dev.´s get suprised becouse they may think they have no chance to win and win another price 8-) .

^i vote for localitzer, sorry to beatbox and lock the floder, i changed.. and i may want give a vote to usb server or a shell or a game <<let´s say it again only 1 vote per user :( ^ i forget the great new 3d plugin and may downgrader or cfw brew

The think is though that pro is probably going to win one of the big ones so votes here aren't gonna give team pro anymore money.

@Wololo i dont think PRO should even be in the Compo i rly love and appreciate there work but its not fair its just a CFW wuts there to be judged? Music?,Nope,Graphics?,dont think so,Gameplay?,No, i mean a game is suppose to see its gameplay its nice graphics and how nice it is and all its Homemade/Homebrew PRO is just to Run them ya like we dont have that, and still ppl are not seeing how these ''Game/App/Plug'' Dev how hard and how genres they are to give them this nice piece for them to enjoy.

What he meant is that the audience prize won't go to pro cfw if they already get one of the big prizes. Read the first post of this topic for details

i voted for some1 downgrader, it's thanks to him if there is a 6.39 PRO and L-cfw ME edition cause he released its code and also explained how he found that kernel exploit on the programming section, i found it an interesting reading.

but then i changed my mind cause to me that's something too big to now win anything,

so i voted for ABCang custom home.prx
i cannot believe nobody coded something to replace the lame sony's home button screen before...
his plugin made my psp way more efficient. i love it, also i love his volcon plugin. i cannot use my psp anymore without them.

Update:
For those who haven't seen yet, Lamecraft, Pro CFW, and some1's downgrader are our 3 "big" winners.
This means that these 3 entries will NOT get the audience prize. If you vote for them here (and, as I type this the 3 of them are in the top 4 of votes), it's a nice way to let them know you apreciate their work, but it might be better for you to change your vote to another entry that you think would now benefit from your vote

You have until July the 3rd to vote
