Considering we're the home of the competition, how come we wololo.net forum users aren't sponsoring the competition.

If wololo set up an account where, if people wanted too we could sponsor a dollar (or your currency equivelant) each, well I would.

I really appreciate the effort of these indie developers. On my own a dollar donation would mean nothing, but if others paid in to the wololo.net forums sponsor pot, we could be a significant sponsor as well. I understand each and every person couldn't be listed on the sponsor splash screen but we could have a seperate text file that is meant to be inserted in the homebrew files, listing each and every person who sponsored a dollar. We'd live in PSP homebrew history forever.

Ok, maybe it's a *** idea.

Not bad, posted the thread last night and we have three potential dollar each sponsors. With such a big sponsorship prize on offer from us, potential winners of the competition will delighted with our prize offering.

Ok, potential sponsors, think of it this way. Some of the homebrew/apps on offer in the PSP Genesis competition would cost you money for each one on the iphone etc..

We get it all for free.

It's nice to give a little bit back. My PSP would have been a doorstop by now if it weren't for the developers from the homebrew community.

We at wololo. net forums will have a chance to vote in the competition. Why not make our vote feel more worthwhile to us with a dollar donation. Each and every sponsors name could be listed in a text file, inserted in the homebrew hopefully. Even if that is not possible (I can't see why it can't be) we could run a thread showing the names of each and every person who has sponsored the PSP Genesis competition from wololo.net. Its a nice way of showing our support for the great homebrew which has come out of the PSP Genesis Competition.

I can't be trusted to do this, I'd collect the money and go and buy my weeks shopping out of it.

If Wololo himself or one of the long term, trusted mods took control and organized it for us to pay a dollar each into a paypal account sponsorship pot, I'd pay up one dollar.

I can understand that not everyone is in a position to sponsor one dollar, but if you are, and use and enjoy the homebrew from the PSP Genesis Competition and wish to sponsor, can you register your support in this thread. If we get enough interest, maybe we can get onto Wololo or the mods' to maybe organize something for us quickish.

Surely, like me, you want to end up on the text file inserted into the homebrew which means you'll live in PSP homebrew history forever. I'd sell my grandma to get on that list.

Great idea . These talented devs are doing such a hard work and we are enjoying their works. I guess there will be many people willing to donate little bit to the competition.

We do everything through paypal, and if you each give 1 dollar, paypal would basically take everything (they have a flat fee + percentage if I remember correctly) before it reaches the pockets of the winner, or a temporary account. Plus that's a lot of organizational work, and I unfortunately don't have the time to deal with this.

I went away and read up about it, I found out that paying a one dollar donation into a paypal account, paypal keeps 33% ($0.30 + 2.9% of each dollar = 33%) of it, leaving 67% (67 cent) left for the recipient. I'd still be happy to pay that in (even $1.50), but I understand if you don't have the time to deal with the extra organizational work involved with this.

If one of the mods' decided to take control of this I'd be happy with that, if not, I/we understand. Thanks for responding and letting us know.
