Post by Roberto » Wed Apr 06, 2011 12:43 am

say if I make a game and want to make maps what could I use to make the maps.I mean a model builder like the gogle app that allows you to build 3d models.I want to find out how to make a call of duty related game but if I cant use a map maker than it would be realy complicated. Thanks in advance.

If you are using LTE mod by Brick then you can make maps in a variety of formats, such as 3d studio max model format (.3ds) or a Quake BSP. Look into it. There are a few options there. Maybe Quake BSP would be the best for a CoD type map.

Blender, it's open source, easy to use, and many engines support it.

Due to the lack of people that care about my sig, I'm going to write notes to myself here instead.

It is 3D and you can load in Wavefront OBJ files using a custom loader for example.
