Wouldn't it be cool if someone for the Genesis Competition made a video chat app like Go! Messenger. I was really upset when I figured out that it was closed down for lack of attention and interest to it. All I'm asking is that is this possible? To make a video chat app?

No, I don't think your way. Mostly everyone has a flashy phone with a front facing camera , delimiting the use of this feature on anything other than computers and flashy cell phones. I say we send the entire world back to the dark ages!

Well, you need a server up to make that kind of homebrew work, so it's difficult (although not impossible), besides that, you'll need to buy a camera specifically to your PSP, and sometimes a mic. You could use only a mic, but for that kind of chatting, there exists Skype already. So, I think that kind of application would be obsolet since the very first day of release, unless someother functions are implemented in it (I'm not such that imaginative)

The cameras come with microphones in them

And technically, you don't absolutely need a server, you could make it directly connect to someone via IP, or just have a downloadable server. Would be an interesting app considering there's little use for turning the camera back towards you right now.
