(Unofficial) Splash Screen Mini-Competition

[important note by wololo: this is a completely unofficial thing, and we have no plan to use these images in the contest for now. However this is a nice idea, so I wil discuss it with the organizers and post an update asap]


Alright so this post is for submitting splash screens.

Rules:
The splash screen must be 480x272 and have the PSP Genesis Competition name on it.

A winner will be selected by Nymphaea. The winners will be notified by PM on this forum.*

1st Prize: A text file with the words "Woot, I r teh win." in it.
2nd Prize: A text file with the word "Yay" in it.
3rd Prize: A blank text file.


* Winning does not necessarily mean your image will be used.

Before things get out of hands:
We have no plan for now to allow "user made" splash screens.
However It is a nice idea, so let's see how it goes.

Note that we are still expecting new sponsors, so please keep your source files somewhere, because we might ask you to update your picture.

To splash screens creators and homebrew creators:
The list of splash screens you are allowed to use in your homebrew can be found here. Do not use anything from this topic.

I'll discuss with the other organizers to see if we can come up with a plan to use this. Until then, this mini contest is completely unofficial, so please do not use these screens in your homebrew entry for now

PSP Genesis 2011 Font Pack
Here is a quick archive of fonts I've found useful in making splash screens.

• Square 721 BT/NewRodin Pro Latin (SQR721N.TTF) - Exact match for the PSP XMB/interface.
• BTSE + PS2 FONT/BTSE PS2 (BTSEPS2.TTF) - Close match for PSP logo.
• MINIMALHARD/Minimalhard (MINHARD.TTF) - Alternative for PSP logo.
• Sony Sketch EF (SNYSKEF.TTF) - Near match for the "Go" part of PSP Go logo. Shares many similarities with Sony Mylo font, the font was originally created to closely match Sony Ericsson.

If you're looking for a logo to represent Wololo.net, you will notice there isn't much to even take inspiration from, other than styles/prosilver/theme/images/wololo-left.png ... The font used in the forum logo is Base 02, found @ http://www.dafont.com/base-02.font. That might save you some time alpha-ing out the background from wololo-left.png...
