Is there any way to make PSP Slim with 6.60 Pro launch while Pandora battery is inserted ?

Post by milton023 »

Hello there. My unmodded original battery has just died and now I'm obliged to use my hardmodded (pin removal metod) Pandora. However the handheld won't launch with this modified battery inserted (it only lights up the green power led). I can of course boot the console while its plugged in without the battery and then insert it but thats that's really annoying way to get around.

So I'd like to know is there any software solution to make my PSP recognize the Pandora battery as a normal one ? I think I rather won't be able to mechanically revert the battery to it's original state.

Thank you in advance for any support.

Use a tool to turn your memory stick into a "magic memory stick". That should allow the PSP to boot despite a pandora being inserted.

One of the "Rain’s MMS maker" PC tools should be able to do that via USB, as long as your memory stick is not a knock-off one.

Worked like a charm. I didn't even know the mms trick was still viable. BTW sorry for late reply. Thank you very much Z.

The "modern" pandora CFW installers should all be based on the DDCv8 (5.00 M33-4) installer (which is based on older pandora software & timemachine), so its cIPL should be sufficient for newer pandora installers (unofficial DDCv9/v10 -> 6.xx ME CFW) and booting an installed CFW (1k/2k) or OFW (only 1k) despite using a pandora battery.

Great to hear that I could be of help :)
