Trouble Updating PSP 1001.

I read the tutorial from here:

And downloaded the EBOOT.PBP file from the first link, but when i put it in the PSP folder it doesn't show up anywhere when I turn on my PSP. It says that it should make a folder named Update in there if i did it right (though I can't imagine how I could have done it wrong) so I even made a folder in the PSP folder named update and put it in there and still nothing.

The current FW ver. I have is 5.50. I reformatted the memory stick and still nothing. So maybe someone can tell me why it doesn't seem to recognize this update file.

OK, I figured out the problem. The tutorial did NOT say to open the PSP folder, open the GAMES folder, then to make a folder in there and name it UPDATE (all caps) and put the EBOOT.PBP in THAT folder.

Those instructions were messed up.
