[Tutorial]Time Machine w Perfect TV-Out/FuSa_SD for 5.00 M33

Post by nameless27 »

Was hoping someone could finish porting this plugin to work properly on 6.60 ect.
It works great on 5.00 M33 Time Machine but on 6.60 it fails to load 2D textures properly and you get a garbled up picture.

Here are some reasons and tips to get you going either if you have a PSP - 2000 / Hackable to run 5.00 M33 in TM
Or even if you have just 6.60 ME 2. I suggest ME 2 the newest update as Fusa SD is working with some games
and works with POPS loading POPS from Flash.

Here's a little Tutorial:

1st:
Install Time Machine Firmwares
Tutorial:

1.50 OFW w/ 3.40 HW Modules
3.60 M33
4.01 M33-2
5.00 M33-4 (Fusa SD Works perfect on this no glithces)

2nd:
Fusa SD Usage guide:

Download Fusa SD kai

FuSa SD For 6.39 ME-9
DESCRIPTION
Authors: OldPrisoneR , Andy_maN , neur0n

This plugin allows you to enable TV out using *any* cable for your Slim (PSP-2000): component, composite, s-video, d-terminal, etc. It all works at a full-screen aspect ratio. This version is ported to custom firmware 6.39 ME-9 by neur0n.

Note: Not all games are supported check the compatibility list here - http://foosa.do.am/publ/1-1-0-3
https://copy.com/IljgGJzV7vILmhQy/FuSa_ ... download=1
FuSa SD Usage:
Add line to game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/FuSa_SD_kai.prx 1

Press VolUp + VolDown to turn on Menu in game.
(In Menu It will Auto Clock your PSP to 222 MHz this is not optimal. Change to 333 MHz)
(In Menu Change Priority to somewhere around 80-90% to much higher and sound will crackle)
(Change Minimal FPS from 10 - 30 FPS or 60 FPS)

(This Should Solve Speed Issues)

Press VolDown + Triangle to swtich between Screen Modes on the Fly (Sometimes Need to do this in the Menu)
3rd:
Set up system for compatability between 5.00 M33 and 6.XX Games

Copy this to version.txt and then save in X:/TM/DC8/vsh/etc/

Code: Select all

release:6.60:
build:5455,0,3,1,0:builder@vsh-build6
system:57716@release_660,0x06060010:
vsh:p6616@release_660,v58533@release_660,20110727:
target:1:WorldWide
Hold assigned button to boot 5.00 M33 and R Trigger at the same time/ Enter Recovery and Set Config to Use version.txt
(This will take care of most newer games)!!

Also activate 6.20 HW modules:
6.20 HW Modules:
Download 5.00 M33 to 6.20 modules for better game compatability 6.30 games supported
(m33_620)
m33_620_20101214.rar
(10.6 KiB) Downloaded 251 times
(PASSWORD: pspking.de)

Add line to game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/m33_620.prx 1
(This will take care of most 6.XX FW games)!!

4th:
Set up Emulators to have a 4:3 scale

Screen Option 0 in FuSa_SD Doubles the Height and if you use an Emu with no zooming to the Height you can get a perfect 4:3 scale for TV Out.

Here is an updated NES emu for this specific reason: Choose WIDE SCREEN Mode

Unofficial NesterJ AoEX R3 SP (Screen Mode Update and New Palettes) [6.60 ME 2 Compatable]
https://www.sendspace.com/file/l7jsk7

Here are a couple configs to get you started:

PicoDrive - default config (goes in EBOOT.PBP folder) [6.60 ME 2 Compatable]
CONFIG.rar
(750 Bytes) Downloaded 277 times
Snes9xTYLmecm - default config (goes in Profiles folder) [6.60 ME 2 Blurry Colors]
s9xTYL_default.rar
(192 Bytes) Downloaded 267 times
Note:
Other Emu's if you play around with them you can do the same (No stretch Verticle and full sized Horizontal)
Some Homebrew Works on 6.60 without corruption play around with them to see.

Hope this helped have fun.

Extra:
Set up Pergame to load different plugins per firmware

Add line to game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/pergame_custom.prx 1

Pergame Custom v1.01 + Pergame Edit v1.33 [6.20 to 6.60 support] (Works on 5.00 M33 as Well)
DESCRIPTION
Authors: AtomicDryad , hiroi01 , wn

Pergame is a selective game plugin loader that loads other plugins. The difference from just using game.txt is that pergame lets one load plugins for -specific- games, instead of all games. Thus one doesn't need to toggle a specific module on or off if they only need it to make one game run in m33, and cheat programs that break some homebrew can be told only to load for isos/umds. The configuration system aims to be versatile; filenames, partial paths, and umdIDs can be used as matching criteria. Also, each iso or eboot may have a configuration file named 'FILENAME.plugins' that contains plugins to load (one per line)

You can use Pergame Edit to easily edit pergame.txt which is also included in the download.
https://copy.com/BlQYfII8wiMNlEji/perga ... download=1
Example Config:

Code: Select all

# Syntax:
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX ms0:/PATH_TO_ISO_OR_PBP
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX UMDID (jpjp-12345 or jpjp12345) - PSP game ID.
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX umd - all games from a physical UMD disc (not iso).
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX iso - all games from an ISO or CSO (not umd).
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX FWxxx - device's firm ware. if firm ware is 6.20, ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX FW620
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX VSH
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX GAME
# ms0:/PATH/TO/PRX POPS
