[Tutorial] 3000mah Battery MOD for PSP 2000 & 3000 models

Post by Bubsy »

Hey gang! I have made a 3000mah battery mod for PSP 2000 & 3000 models that is pretty simple and straight forward. Also included items you made need for the process in the description of the link. This video tutorial should help novice and intermediate users to do the mod. If you guys need a step by step text and picture tutorial, let me know :) All the best gang!

Wow, that looks promising! I have 2 quick questions before I try this:
1- Is the native psp charger still working with it?
2- Is the battery level and time remaining reported correctly? (eg: battery time plugins)

Thanks!

1-Yes :)
2- And Double Yes :D

Once the 3000mah battery is installed the charge time is longer. But the battery time on these last for a very long time. There was a week when I was playing on and off with my psp and I didn't have to charge it!

Nice tutorial ,but its normal like in all electronic - when u reaplease witch lower or higher capacity will all ok - 100% what is corect is the "V" power must by that like the basic in electronic hardware need to launch power.

U can open PSP battery and add more capacity mah or make like some one done in PSP UMD drive mod . Or make a battery out and connected to PSP charge port.

And always will show correct charging in software psp and the time left on battery .

So I was going to attempt this, but I was warned off it in /r/askelectronics. I'm not 100% they're sure what they're talking about, but I don't want to do this until I'm sure I know what I'm doing.

If any electronics expert wants to step in and take me through the reason this won't overcharge the battery, I'd be happy.

That mod not damage any battery and psp etc. Its simple replese in PSP battery mobo of Battery capacity MAH size - psp knows and charge it like normal battery %. Always need remeber of V info of replesed battery to mobo must by that same like ORGINAL in PSP use. And then u can sold to mobo of battery any CAPACITY - psp know and charge normal that PSP no problem and use . Only if u add more CAPACITY u charge longer psp and USE PSP on battery longer.
