Any reason to stay on 3.18 with PSX/Tekken 2 Exploit

Post by patrickvogt »

Hi,

due to the message of the discontinuation of the VITA, I got the dust of my storage box with the vita and the vita games.

I have one vita with FW 3.60 and one with FW 3.18 and the Tekken 2 PSX Exploit.

Is there any reason not to update the 3.18 one to e.g. to 3.60? I remember back in the day the PSX compatibility was not the best that's why this Tekken 2 exploit was special a few years ago (to play PSX games with full speed).

Best Regards and thanks in advance

The 3.18 with TN-X has the best emulator for PS1 on VITA because they use internal emulator unlike Adrenaline that uses the PSP emulator for all. The only thing missing to stay perfect is the Henkaku / Enzo port for 3.18 in my opinion.

If you have both leave so to get access to the games in the best way for ps1 (3.18) and vita, psp games (3.60).

That's fake news, Adrenaline utilizes the PS1 emulator. PS1 games do NOT run in PSP mode anymore.
Does it quit? If not, then it's legit... Too legit.

you are wrong, you have different options in ps1 internal vita mode and the emulator used in TN-X is faster than the adrenaline for ps1.

Not sure where you've been (maybe under a rock) but the PS1 emulator used in TN-X is the same native PS1 emulator used in Adrenaline now.

I would know because I used to be on 3.18 with the Superbike exploit. Adrenaline now uses the native PS1 mode for games with perfect sound. Please don't spread misinformation from 3 years ago.

A long time ago Adrenaline used to run PS1 games in PSP mode (no sound, laggy) but now it boots the fully fledged PS1 emulator (the same one from TNX).

Thank you very much. This was the information I needed. I am glad that I was not the only one who lost track in this topic. If you dont follow the news for a few months you really feel lost until you read nearly everything in a few days to catch up. But thanks again for the information

Sorry guys, I have not had access to psvita hacks for some time and he's actually using the native PS1 emulator (the same as the TNX emulator) ..

Thanks for the information

It's all good man, the Ps Vita went through so many changes since 3.18.
