HOPE FOR VITAMIN: A note for Team FreeK

Post by mitrium » Tue Aug 30, 2016 12:35 am

Well, I found that there is people willing to support (Economically) the work of Team FreeK. Please read and help this message to get the members of the team.

An user that responds to the nickname of xColourTheory, stated this.

Alright. I'll start up by describing the situation for anyone who either has no idea what's going on or is too busy celebrating on the half-riddled, barely on life support corpse of Vitamin in a short tl;dr
A dev was betrayed by someone he trusted who leaked the copy. Both (known to me) developers are upset about this leak.

Anyway, the Vita is probably has some of the most passionate developers I've seen for a scene. With the, what it feels like handful of developers we have, you have accomplished so very much on the Vita for us end-users. I'd like to begin by saying we really appreciate it. We're all here for the same reason. To support the Vita more than it was intended by Sony, and to make it do more than it was intended to by default in order to enjoy our experience more. You have enabled that. Thank you.

Now, the rest of the post. Well. I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, and I understand how it feels to have something you've worked extremely hard stripped from you -- and then everyone around you speaking to you about it, asking questions that are really disrespectful -- I know it seems like no one respects the work you've done probably -- Flow, Tom. That however, can not be more than false -- a lot of us really respect you. We're sorry you both got betrayed by a friend. It hurts to see that happen to people in general.

I just hope you can both see that you were mutually betrayed by the same person, whoever it was that leaked it.
I don't want to be selfish and say you should re-unite for the scene, or you should at least continue working on your own when you don't want to work for the scene. I just wanted to give my appreciation.

In saying that, I am willing to put up an escrow and put in a sum of $100+ monthly as incentive to continue to develop for the scene. I'm also sure other people would probably pitch in. I don't know if the money helps you reconsider quitting. If it's life that's causing you to quit, then go on -- you deserve the break. If it's drama, then I hope we can look past this in the future to work together to mutually benefit the scene and I truly hope the money can somehow give incentive -- to see that you're appreciated, and that there's some passionate people out there -- and that your work won't go unrewarded.

This may not change anything, but no harm in trying.

Thanks for reading.

Giving money to developers so that they keep the scene alive ? wow.

Flow said that he was going to quit the scene in September because university life and work ...

This LEAK made him lost his passion too, he is no more interested in developing more things for this community, that's it !

Though, I hope no one will quit the scene again like Tom or Flow, but they both have very good and convincing reasons.
Ps VITA 3.60 VHBL (BUBBLE) [HENkaku]

Things like these really demoralize scene devs, the scene should be hush until release, decryption is no joke,it really takes alot of time that could have been spent elsewhere

Well money some how is always a problem and a problem solver , that may lead some where , but did they done all of this stuff for money ?! or for their own love and the scene ?
if it was money then no one was inside this scene already or wont lead to anywhere , people set prize for rejuvinate , but see where that go , im not ruining anyones work , rejuvinate was awsome and major movement during that time , but had some issues.
well its hard to see a friend do that , a supposed trust worthy , and i guess he is saying to himself that hey i did this for you , Team Freak might never wanted to release this and i opend it up , but thats not a good answer , most people here care about homebrew not piracy , and i dont want to lie , yes some how and sometime i use piracy my self , but trust me , i bought lots of psvita game , but the only game i used to play these past few day was hexen 2 released by reingmate , one of the best port available to vita
Flow , Major tom , Smoke , MrGas , wololo , ALL THE DEVS , and everypeople inside the scene , are caring about the scene , i thank you all from here , and to that some one or future some one wanting to leak some one work , please have some respect for their work and love , this is their own decision , not us

Yep, and I think they are really talented hackers, those guys are barely the only ones that works hard on the VITA scene, I feel sad for what happened, and I hope money will motivate them to keep the scene alive, i know they do it for love to the scene, but if also they have some economical motivation that would be more inspiring, as you can see there is people that would pay for their work!! I hope things get better soon, so we can enjoy more of the underground content!!

Kind regards!!
