Upgrading 8gb mem Card to 32gb with TN-v10, 3.18 fw and QCMA

Post by rich6619 » Sun Nov 02, 2014 4:33 pm

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone could help me out with this. I currently have a vita slim with an 8gb mem card and Talkman exploit with TN-V10 installed. Purchased new 32gb because I ran out of space. With qcma installed I created a backup of my 8gb card onto my pc. I then turned off the ps vita completely and swapped in the new 32 gb card and powered on. I then continued to restore the backup I made on my pc with qcma. Before it could start an error pops up, C2-12858-4 and I am no longer able to continue. I tried making 1 or two other backups and tried restoring but get the same issue. So I have just put the old memory card back in for now. Can someone point out the correct way of doing this without loosing what I have on my old memory card , expecially the exploited game. I read something about the new card needing to be activated and a PS3 being required. Currently I have access to a friends PS3 but thats is it. Appreciate any help I get for this.

So uninstall qcma,
install opencma
make a backup of 8gb card
turn off vita completely
insert new 32gb card
Turn on Ps Vita
restore backup with qcma?

Will I need to activate the new card in any way ? Or will those steps do it

backup you 8gb card with OpenCMA, (cma with the opencma patch put into the directory and run the bat file as admin to patch)
insert new card and restore the backup with opencma again,

job done.

If OpenCMA doesn't work for you. Just copy everything from the 8gb to the PC and then transfer them from the PC to the 32gb
