Its just regular browsing when I load a game like TF2 or Saints Row the third it stays in wallpaper screen and doesn't let the game show up.However if you press the windows home button on the keyboard while playing those two games it makes them go into a smaller window and finally the vita recognizes them and shows up on the vita screen but when that happens the fps cut in half to about 20 fps and there are some weird glitches with the mouse function on the vita, when playing Saints row for example instead of just attacking or shooting a weapon it also scrolls up for some reason and the right analog stick still works as a mouse but it doesn't let you use it on the game to look around. I still haven't tried it on Minecraft or Nitronic Rush( the only other two pc games I own) but for now I'm just going to just use the program as an awkward pc controller and play Saints Row.cojobe wrote:50 fps??? EDIT: The program works great on this Freeware game called Mari0(Mario 1984 and P0rtal crossover) It's still somewhat awkward to control but and least you can play it on your Vita without any lag. SCP: CONTAINMENT BREACH is also working very well and unlike the others the controls are pretty comfortable but when looking around it's kind of slow with the right analog stick, not laggy just sorta slow. That can be a problem when playing this game and if you try to look around with the motion or touch screen you just start spinning around like crazy in the game.

Anyone else getting the error:
" Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted"
When running the client on the PC side?

There's no VitaRemoteServer.exe, only a vitaremoteserver.vshost.exe that when I double click nothing happens. I had to install visual basic express 2010 to get it to do something, err nothing, as when I first tried double clicking it gave me a error about vshost32-clr2 stopped working, but it could never have stopped working as it never started working; I did not have it on my pc. After I installed VBE2010 it no longer gives me this error, it just shows the hourglass then nothing. I got the app onto my vita, I already remote desktop using RDP that came with my professional suite of win7. I have used the built in remote desktop connection, while on my own network and also while I'm far away at work. I have also used live mesh with success. Do I still need to install the server? Also what port does the vita look for when running the remote desktop? I changed my listening port from 3389 to another, for security reasons, in the registry. When I run the app on the vita I get the ip address and port to enter. While on my network I enter my pcs network IP .100 and the port already there is 8080 which is the normal port for remote router control. I know for RDC I use 192.168.1.100:xxxx to connect. When I enter all that for the ip and leave the 8080, it just closes the app, when I only enter the ip and the xxxx for port, it goes to a black screen shows 60fps and nothing else. My pc does not get controlled. Any help would be grand I just got some games from steam, who is having a sale, and I'd love to remote via my vita to play them.

How'd you end up fixing this? I found the .psspac mentioned later I just have no idea what to do with it lol.fate6 wrote:I get this errorand yes I know that its missing a file >__<Code: Select all
H:\Documents and Settings\John Omniviz\Desktop\PS VITA REMOTE DESKTOP\VitaRemoteClient\VitaRemoteClient\VitaRemoteClient.csproj(11,11): Error MSB4019: The imported project "H:\Program Files\MSBuild\Sce\Sce.Psm.CSharp.targets" was not found. Confirm that the path in the <Import> declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. (MSB4019) (VitaRemoteClient)
anyone willing to make a .psspac ? :3

Everyone be aware that norton kept deleting some files needed as soon as I decompressed the files. I disabled Norton, ran the server and then connected. I still find it weird that one, it uses port 8080, as my rdp port is something else, but it worked anyways. Also RDP requires login credentials, this asked for none; ie huge security risk if used on another network and/or if they steal your vita. I have my pc set to ip .100 which is the default and port 8080 worked. This means that if someone were to steal my vita, they don't even have to try guessing my ip if they are near my home, I have very good range, they just select connect and they're in. The graphics are also lacking, but it was nice to play half-life 1 while on the porcelain throne. I will wait for further updates, like keyboard input, eg address fields, and full mapping of the keyboard. Since the instructions here tell you at least what letters, arrows, numbers the different vita buttons correspond to, I just configured HL1 itself with those keyboard buttons for movement and actions.
I installed visual basic 10 express as it came with .net 4.0 and a few other goodies, I'm on win7 pro.

I've tried using CMD command to get my IP, and I've tried disabling my firewall and antivirus.. Nothing seems to work.
The directions say I'll get a popup with my IP by following it, but .. yeah.. Meh. I'll just wait for the final version, or a youtube tutorial
