About Playstation Vita...

Postby Harakiri_Robot12 » Wed Jul 04, 2012 4:32 am

I am planning on buying a Playstation Vita (Eventually). Before I buy the Vita I want to know if the Vita will be able to use ISO's or CSO's that I saved on to my flash drive. If not what is the highest capacity of the Vita's backworks compatibility for psp games.

Is it even possible to even get PS3 ISO's onto the Vita (a sort of exploit)?

If this offends anyone I'm sorry I'm just wondering :/

the only way the Vita can run any homebrew is with VHBL

No! No! and.....No!

1. What have Iso's and Cso's to do with backwarts compatibility ?

Theres no way for now to play backups of PSP Games on a PSVita

2. PS3 Iso's on the PSVita through an exploit......NO!!! The Vita isn't powerfull enough to emulate a PS3 System. (fate6 ;) you haven't answered it :P )

....at least maybe one day you could transfer an PS3 Iso onto your Vita if we could use the Vita as an USB-Flashdrive :D

that^ :3

I guess the audacity of such a question made my mind freeze
(also Sonic Adventure 2 is coming to XBLA&PSN so I got sorta distracted :) )
(oh that and I found the RE6 Demo that does not need Dragons Dogma)

I'd say save your money and invest it in a little something more "worthwhile". ;)

if the Vita will be able to use ISO's or CSO's
It's technically possible through a kernel exploit, Davee found one but nothing released yet.

Vita's backworks compatibility
You can't load psp isos if you don't have BC in the first place.

possible to even get PS3 ISO's onto the Vita
The Ps3 has 3.2 Ghz clock speed, the Vita has between 700 Mhz and 1.2 Ghz, this means the Ps3 is about twice faster when it comes to clock speed, you need 10 times the clock speed to emulate a system.

But thats funny I've seen some people make Gta 4 mods for the psp (It really isn't a mod, they simply rip a piece of a GTA 4 demo ISO and place it in some kind of plugin), I'm certain that if a psp can handle a ps3 demo then why can't the Vita handle the same type of treatment.

Im sad about the Vita not having the ability to manipulate the Psp Iso part (But maybe I could map a code on my Vita that will allow me to use psp ISO's)

PSP can't handle GTA IV, nor PS3 demos. People make it run on a PC and play it remotely on their PSP connected through USB cable
