There's going to be a new update tonight! Unfortunately it's just for system stability :D

In the coming months, you can look forward to new game reveals and other news for Vita; in the meantime, we wanted to let you know that a minor system software update will be released tonight that improves software stability. The update (v. 1.69) is completely optional, but we did want to give everyone a heads up that it was coming.

I doubt it's optional. All of their updates are optional if you're fine with being locked out of PSN. I also think that they're going to be patching up the Super Collapse 3 exploit with this.
PS3 Slim 160 GB: OFW 4.11
PS Vita (8 GB Memory Stick): OFW 1.67

PSV 1.67 is optional (but needed by newer apps/games)
PS3 4.11 is optional (at least last time I checked it was)

and yea I think its just a SC3 patch and a few miner bug fixes
(which frankly is fine I dont see a problem here :/)
(well except the SC3 patch but we are not supposed to be able to do that :3)

As i dont use vhbl i did update and try to boot vhbl with
super collapse 3 not surprised that i knew super collapse 3
was patch in this update,so if you have super collapse 3
and use howbrews do not update to 1.69,this update blocks
vhbl in super collapse 3.
