Well it's currently impossible to play the games i've bought for my psp on my vita, so backups would be really nice.

I don't know about you, but I didn't buy my Vita expecting to play games I bought on UMD. I mean, I wasn't an idiot, I saw it didn't come with a UMD drive. It came with a memory card. So I said, well, better keep the psp2000 around for the psp games. Same topic came up with the PSP Go, and I didn't buy one. I bought this because I saw that I could play new awesome games with a touch screen, a rear touch pad, dual thumbsticks, a crisp oled display and a nicer game cartridge format with small cartridges so it makes the system more portable. If you bought your vita expecting it to play umd's, then you need to research a little more before shelling out 300 for a device. Would it be nice if you could play those old umd's? Sure, if sony did the same program they did in japan with the trade-in for psn copies of your games. But they didn't. But the focus on this new system was new games, new hardware, better graphics, etc. I bet, if sony did the program here to trade in your umd's for psn downloads, and they had every single game on psn, we would still be sitting here having this discussion, because it has nothing to do with backups.

Davee did what he did for reason,if he thought it was not the time to release his exploit is because
he knows is not the right moment for it,i know people want boot homebrews directly but being in a hurry
wont make things easy just wait for Davee he'll release it when times comes.

Yes, i bought it for much the same reasons. However it would still be nice to be able to play some psp games on it. That is a feature of the system. I just cannot use it, because sony will not allow it.

personally I think it's indeed better to wait before releasing a kernel exploit, as the vita psn is like empty right now and we're certainly gonna have to update to play new vita games
so if a kernel exploit was released now, it'd get patched just like all vhbl exploits and whenever a new cool vita game we want appears, we'd have to update and hence forget about this kernel exploit <_<

better wait until more things have showed up on the vita

I bet the vitas already been cracked , the devs on this site couldn't possibly be the only hackers there has to be master harckers out there tons more experienced (no offence wololo, wth, cobra ect) its only hla matter of time before this "annonomys" guy releases the vita keys

Keep in mind the devs of this site are veterans to the psp scene. Their skills are mainly applied to exploiting the modified kernel of the psp emu. The vita os has not been rooted yet, but I can agree it is just a matter of time.

I also agree with wth. It is almost pointless to release a kernel exploit at this time, history has proven that sony is bound to take almost immediate action upon public release of a kernel exploit. And releasing a firmware update right after. Personally id rather like to see what the now fairly empty psn store has to offer in the near future.

What did he expect though? People will be people and surly he knew with releasing his video that people would be angry. Especially with the rumor about how he don't like some people in the scene for the reason not to release.

People look at the HEN video as a "Look what I have and you don't." Mostly the more immature audience though.

Anyone in the scene that has any sense knows someone else will figure out the same stuff eventually so why worry about what Davee has?

Take a step back before you disrespect someone and you may realize that bad comments do more harm then good.

First Davee never mentioned not to release the kexploit. He says, that it's not the time to release it for now and i agree with that. The PSP-Emulator is now the only way to investigate the Vita OS if we find ways to break out of the sandbox. So Davee and some other dev's hold the exploit back untill it could be used for something better than just a Hen on the PSP Site...

Davee isn't a ****. He's a talented Developer and i can understand him about being angry about the szene and the kiddies who just want to play their backups.

First, Not sure why you quoted me with this response. I said it was rumor that he was not going to release it.
Second, I agree it is a good way to investigate the vita. I do not agree that it is the only way. It doesn't matter to myself if they release it now or later. If I wanted to play backups I would get a PSP.
Third, I didn't say he was angry. I said that most people who are angry with him are kids who are immature.
