9g downgrade to 5.xx

Post by jas0n »

hi wololo members, this is my first post as i m new to this forum. :)

i m just wondering about my TA-095 Motherboard. its 9g module {PSP 3004} & it supports lower fw ie 6.20. i already downgraded it to 6.20. is there any way to downgrade it to 5.xx ?? afaik "NO" but why & how its not possible? i read somebody discovered that there is no difference between 4g & 9g module. so i just wanna know the exact reason behind this downgrade process. :?:

pls anyone give me the correct information.

You can downgrade the 09g to the limit of the 04gs, cause the lower OFWs detect the 09g as a 04g, so the lowest possible would be 6.00 (5.70 if there would be an EBOOT.PBP for). But 6.00/6.10 does not offer any special stuff, so use 6.20 or 6.39/6.60 for CFW...

And if you want to say, 5.70 is supported, why not 5.00? Cause the 5.70 is like a pre-6.00 Firmware, like a 6.00 Beta firmware.
The 5.70 OFW is based on the 6.XX Kernel, so it is possible to downgrade to 5.70 but not to <5.55

Jason about the best firmware to be on is 6.20 if you want it to be perm since it has the permanent bootloader. Your psp is a 3000 which means you cant use the oldschool cfw's such as gen and m33 cuz it would cause a brick and i wouldn't use the 6.39/6.60 ipl injection as it will cause a brick on any psp 3000. so the only way to have permanent cfw for a 3000 is 6.20 PRO or TN but i would use PRO as you are less likely to brick it when installing the perma patch.

PSP - 3001 6.20 PRO B10 fix (Perm) ----TA-090v2 03g====Perfect :P

You can downgrade your PSP 3000 09g with a TA-095v1 motherboard to 6.20, but you CANT flash your PSP 3000 09g TA-95v2 motherboard to 6.20.
The 6.20 has a standby bug for those 6.20 09g PSPs. I think it does not worth it, just use 6.60 PRO-B10fix or 6.60 LME-1.6 with LightSpeed.
