Can all PSPgo models be downgraded?

Post by Duke_Magnificence » Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:14 am

Hey everyone. Been lurking for a couple of weeks and decided to join up.

I've been thinking about getting a PSPgo for my emulation needs and I just had a quick question.

My question is are there different hardware variations of the PSPgo in which some cannot be downgraded? And if there are variations, is there a way to differentiate them before buying?

I know this has probably been asked before but I've been out of the modding scene for a while now.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

i don't think there are any "new" pspgo models. i believe the only model for a go is n1000, which should have a minimum of 6.20. as long as it's above that, and not 6.60 (yet), you should be able to downgrade it to 6.20

AFAIK there is only the 05g, at least that's the only one in the Go updaters ATM. The 05g has a minimum firmware version of 5.70 and can be downgraded to 6.10, but the current downgraders only go down to 6.20 AFAIK. If you plan on buying new and you're in the US and want a guaranteed 5.70, look for the Rockband Unplugged sticker.

In firmware 6.60 Go are only 05g modules, so there is only one psp go model.
Downgrade is possible to 6.00 Go ofw, but i dont know if there is a 6.00 Go updater...

I know that 6.10 is existing, but ive never found the 6.00 Go updater :(

The "6.xx downgrader" can downgrade to 6.20 and 6.35.
The downgrade method via tn hen supports psp go downgrade to 6.10. (It supports 5.00 ofw and up for other psps)
5.70 Go/6.00 Go would be supported too, if there is a 5.70 Go/6.00 Go updater.

That's what I said :P "at least that's the only one in the Go updaters ATM"

You can't find the 6.00 Go updater because there never was one. Go came out AFTER 6.10 was released ;)

I had forgotten about the TN HEN version.txt method... When I said they only go down to 6.20, I meant that's the lowest you could go (I should have worded it better). But with the version.txt method, it's 6.10.
