As established, you can go as low as the the lowest firmware for the model. This of course includes all firmware higher than the initial firmware the PSP came with, so the answer should be: yes.

An addendum to ruyors post: A GO cannot go lower than 6.10 without a 5.70 dump because there is no 6.00 update for the GO.

I thought 6.00 was a combined firmware, I.E. for all models incl. Go, and Sony split up the updates starting w/ 6.10? If no one knows for sure, I can PSARdump 6.00 and look for _05g modules

I got the output from psardumper here for 6.00 and there is no mention of a 05g model, it just added files for 04g.

You're right. I can't believe I missed it xD There's a very good reason for no 6.00 on Go

6.00 OFW release date: 09/10/2009
6.10 OFW release date: 09/30/2009

6.10 was the current OFW when the Go was released, that's why there was never a 6.00 for Go

6.30 introduce support for model 07g & 09g

AFAIK, he means that the 4g psp models(I think late 3k's) came with fw 6.00,
and can't go lower than that.

Hmm.. Mine came with 4.xx too.. I really need to downgrade to 5.03 OFW to have more plugins support..

He said lowest for the model. Since it came w/ 5.50 the model should be a PSP-300x_03g, in theory you could go as low as 4.20.

Example: My 2k came w/ 3.72 originally but I was able to downgrade it to 3.60.
