I bricked my 1000 once. Wasn't during a downgrade though (and i have downgraded that puppy LIKE A BOSS :) ) It was actually like a week ago, I uninstall 6.39 PRO B9 CFW BEFORE uninstalling the CIPL without realizing what I did. Once It died, and I turned it back on in official firmware, with the custom IPL, it was fully bricked :o . Luckily, I had the pandora handy, and installed 6.20 with the pandora and MMS, and all was well. It was a bit of a scare for a second though :D
