Maximum downgrade by module?
I red somewhere that the minimum firmware a psp can be downgraded to depends on the module (1g 4g etc) of the psp; can someone confirm this? Is true that psp 2000 can't go under 2.71, psp 3000 3g under 5.00? Do someone know the minimum firmware for all Xg modules?

i know there's no need to go under 5.00, all i wanted was "theoretical" information.

Re: Maximum downgrade by module?
you could try punker's INFO PSP app found here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=6755
just run it under an LCFW and it'll tell you the lowest your psp can reach

I know, Google is my friend, but I'd also like to know this. Just to know it. I have a 4g and I know that I can't go below 5.70. I'd just like to know it, I don't know.

PSP 3000 (09g): OFW 6.30
PSP 3000 (07g): OFW 6.30
PSP GO (05g): OFW 6.10 (There was no 6.00 updater for Go)
PSP 3000 (04g): OFW 6.00 (There is no 5.70 updater)
PSP 3000 (03g): OFW 5.00 (There is no 4.21 updater. Also, 4.20 is the lowest firmware possible for _03g)
PSP 2000 w/ TA-088v3 Motherboard (02g): OFW 4.01 (4.21 was only available on some PSP-3000_03g, 4.01 was the launch firmware on TA-088v3)
PSP 2000 w/ TA-088v2 or Less Motherboard (02g): OFW 3.60
PSP 1000 TA-082/86 Motherboard (01g): OFW 2.71 (Can't go lower than that without corrupting IDStorage key 5)
PSP 1000 TA-079/81 Motherboard (01g): OFW 1.50
iirc.

Re: Maximum downgrade by module?
Thank you very much!
Well, depends on how you mean it. You can't downgrade/update to it, but you can have it... Or...
MEH! Nevermind, let's just skip that
Thanks
Though, my PSP 3000 4g came with 5.70..ultimakillz wrote: PSP 3000 (04g): OFW 6.00 (There is no 5.70 updater)

Re: Maximum downgrade by module?
yes, im sure it did. but you cannot downgrade to 5.70 since there was no updater released for that firmware. so, the next closest is 6.00.Snapy wrote:Thank you very much!Though, my PSP 3000 4g came with 5.70..ultimakillz wrote: PSP 3000 (04g): OFW 6.00 (There is no 5.70 updater)
