Now I'm wondering which is the best CFW to use? I'm already aware of the 6.38->6.20 Downgrader but not aware of what CFW i should put on it. M33? GEN? ...?

PSP 2000 with 6.38 Downgrading to what Version?
Well a friend of mine asked me to install a CFW on his PSP. To be exact, on his PSP-2000 with DateCode 7D.

There's no 6.20 M33. There isn't 6.20 GEN either. If your friend is looking for ISO loading in first place go with 6.20 PRO-B5. If he's looking for more speed and better Homebrew support go with 6.20 TN-E. There isn't better or worst. Both have plugin support. It's his choice.

with a datecode that low he could downgrade even lower and install 5.xx cfws (like m33 of gen) if he wanted toXaymar wrote:To be exact, on his PSP-2000 with DateCode 7D.

I actually know that, and I was asking for what CFW I should put on his PSP. Since most of his UMDs look a bit ...murdered... I guess he wants to load ISOs natively. I'm not too skilled in comparing CFWs so I have to rely on other peoplepietro025 wrote:There's no 6.20 M33. There isn't 6.20 GEN either. So what CFW should I put on it?

i dont think any is way better than another, it properbly depends on your use of the psp ... try a couple of difrent ones and see for your selfXaymar wrote: I actually know that, and I was asking for what CFW I should put on his PSP. i suggest 5.50 GEN D prome 4; it supports all psp and psx games (with popsloader); newer cfws don't have that much support for hbrews or plugins

I think that's not quite true. I've had at least as good of luck with homebrew on 6.39 me-4. You do know that 6.39 me is based off of 5.00 m33? Anyway that's just me maybe you've had not so good results.stevealexanderames wrote:i suggest 5.50 GEN D prome 4; it supports all psp and psx games (with popsloader); newer cfws don't have that much support for hbrews or plugins
