Best CFW for PSP 3000

Post by thevitalpoint » Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:40 am

Now that I've downgraded my firmware, I'd like to know what the best CFW for the PSP 3000. I tried Gen-C and 5.03m33-6 but every time the PSP crashes I have to reinstall the CFW. Is there a CFW (or extenstion) that fixes this? Thanks in advance!

Yeah gen-c is the best for the psp 3k. But with any cfw you try on the 3k it will go away when the psp turns off completely.

It's not a real cfw they call it that to make it sound better. It's a hen just like tn-hen.

Any LCFW you would instal; none of it is going to be permanent. Many people prefer GEN but I prefer CFWE. Because although less people use CFWE, I have heard numerous cases where compatibility of homebrews is more with CFWE rather than that of GEN. So I recommend CFWE.
PS-Flashing of Prometheus modules on a CFWE PSP can be risky.

5.03 GEN-C sucks because of the messed up recovery menu... I use Team MHU's CFWEnabler 3.70. You have to patch Prometheus on your .iso's though. ISO Tool FTW.

i hav 5.03 gen-c
recovery is messed up BUT u can get a "M33 RECOVERY MENU" which works great
i got the M33 recovery by downloading a 5.00 m33 theme
btw guys we r here cause of wololo and tn but admit it 5.03 is better then the tn hen....i mean 5.00 themes...99.99999999% iso compatabilty (with 5.03 prom iso tool patch)
*****I AM LOOKIN FORWARD TO MORE IMPROVMENT (IF SO I WILL UPGRADE) =)

There is something called sedna that patches the RAM upon shut down. But if it crashes it won't work. Sedna is limited!

Is this info still current ? My friend has a psp 3000 5.03 and I would like to help her hack it. Is GEN the best for her or would it be PRO or TN-Hen?

Right now, the 6.XX cfws are probably the best. If you were the type of person who would of downgrade to run GEN CFW, you will probably like PRO CFWs the best. I have been running it for a while now and I love it. For more information, reference this: http://wololo.net/wagic/cfw4dummies/
