dead pixel from downgrade?

Hi,

My lil sister & I just downgraded her lilac PSP 3000 3g from 6.60 to 6.20 so she can use pro perma. Everything worked except. one odd thing. It had no dead pixels for sure all the way till it was done. when we turned back on in 6.20 we noticed 1 dead pixel. now she is thinking the downgrade did it and is wondering if she should go back to 6.60.I assured her that it would make no sense that flashing the firmware made 1 pixel stay black and it is coincidence that it died when it did. I am correct right?

I doubt that downgrading affected the pixel, most likely coincidence.
I constantly flash my PSP 1000 and 2000, and have no problems with dead/stuck pixels.

Thats what I thought too. she seems to think it will go away if she flashes back to 6.60 but im advising her not to cause i know it wont then she will wanna 6.20 again and whats the point of flashing back and forth for nothing. i told her just leave it before you get too flash happy and brick lol.

Yeah, there is no way downgrading did that. The most likely cause is that the dead pixel has always been here, but she was so freaked out about the "risks" of downgrading that she started noticing a series of "bad things".
Anyways, a dead pixel is a physical problem, downgrading, or going back to ofw, will not have any influence on that.
