uOFW project status

Post by Felix-Dev »

Hey folks,

Sadly, I don't think the project will go much further in the future, as nearly every work on it has been stopped. In the upcoming weeks, I'll upload a working version of the mediaman module which is probably the only module you guys should expect to be uploaded to the Github repository in the foreseeable future.
End of contribution to the uOFW project won't result in the repository being shut down and everyone is still welcome to add information to it.
Furthermore, if you want to chat with us, we can still be found in our #uofw IRC channel as of now.

uOFW was a great project, and believe me when I say it was a lot of fun, however, the lack of time and support killed it in the end.

We could probably revive it as part of a PS Vita project, but we are nowhere near that any time soon.

On behalf of the uOFW team, I would like to thank everyone who gave us his support throughout these past months and years!

why leaving such " cool project" ! It would be useful for reviving the PsP <3. And also for the Ps Vita (psp emulator). Maybe it would help for "enabling" sound for ps1 games or something like ;)

i know you guys are busy with real life. Wish you the best. And good luck for the Ps Vita <3 !

I'm following every news about that awsome project. Thank's for your great work guys :D!

Pretty sad... But still. The PSP is getting less and less attention, many more people are aimed at the Vita rather than the PSP. I wish PSP development was still going strong like the old days...

I agree with you :l
That excitement, that existed when TN was about to release 6.20 TN Hen - A. :(
And yeah reverse engineering PSP Go's Bluetooth would be amazing. I wish it allowed you to transfer songs, pictures and videos and stuff :(

I notice that your github seems to be pretty active.
Have you guys stopped development or just sorting out stuff?

It seems your host is down. I cannot access it.
This looks cool btw, what could this change (if anything) on the Vita?
