Ribbon cable cut, still works perfectly!?!

Hello, I bought this PSPGo used boxed and everything for about 40 usd. The seller claimed it was almost brand new, with a couple of months of actual use.. which i found hard to believe. Anyway, when it arrived I noticed it was in very good shape.. but the left speaker was not working, the right one works perfectly.. So after watching many tutorials I decided to open it and I found this!
The screen works perfectly as well as everything else except the left speaker... Could this be the culprit???!
I'm amazed it even turns on!
