Dug up my old PSP - should I update CFW?

Post by docpop »

Hello!

I recently found my old PSP 1001 that I stopped using back in early 2010's. I turned it on to check and it has 5.50 Gen D4 prometheus on it. Since it's been so long and I don't remember/know anything about the current CFW versions, I want to ask you guys:

1. Are there are any newer CFWs that are better than this one and if it is worth updating?

2. If it is, is the updating process complicated/risky? Any bricking precautions?

Thank you!

You can update to 6.60 and install ME (2.3?) or PRO-C2. No brick risk from installing the latest CFWs, and it's an easy process.
