PSP Slim and Light 200x Battery Mod Question

hiya

just wanted to know about batteries.

Okay im going to mod my psp battery, i know how to proceed, only thing I am unsure of is the following:

does it matter if i use a Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery, or a Lithium iOn battery?

the reason I ask is because I've not heard or read up on anyone stating the differences between the both hence the question.

But in my mind it shouldn't really matter, I will be using the old mobo chip from a cheap Chinese battery, to hook this up, but wanted verification on whether it will be safe to use either one of the battery types above.

more specifically i wanted to use the following 2 (again either ones)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Sony- ... SwRr5ZuCbE

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Sony- ... Sw6nNZuCX1

they are both original ps vita batteries.but are lithium ion versions not polymer.

so will they be okay to mod into a psp 2000 slim and light?

let me know guys as im fed up of using the Chinese ones, ive bought 5 in this year alone, and im not putting up with it anymore.

thanks

Dont know best is use Tablet ,smartphon old phones stuff to mod for 100% sure. But also why the secend type will not work - no mether what type u use ,work that same - only the battery must have that same V like PSP need from battery ,rest more MAH or type is what u wonna .

so to clarify any battery type (either a Lithium Polymer or ion) can be used, but the V that you mention meaning the Voltage must be rated @ 3.7V in which the PSP 2000 is current rated at, however the mAh can be of higher capacity? (giving me a higher rate of usage in hours) am I correct here.

e.g.

1x lithium ion OR lithium polymer battery
V @ either = 3.6/3.7v
mAh = 800+ (so initial capacity can be greater than = 3000+ mAh)

am I correct?

Yes PSP battery is 3,7V so u need that battery V to plug to PSP battery mobo . And yes u can use much higher then max made PSP battery MAH capacity . The PSP will charge that normal and use normal - only diffrent will by much more houers of use PSP on battery.
