anyone used the cheap chinese batteries, i know they are trash but need to know if they are safer than branded ones.

Dont know best is use Tablet ,smartphon old phones stuff to mod for 100% sure. But also why the secend type will not work - no mether what type u use ,work that same - only the battery must have that same V like PSP need from battery ,rest more MAH or type is what u wonna .

Okay gonna buy a chinese LiPo and see the difference between branded and knock off lipo cheers

Yes PSP battery is 3,7V so u need that battery V to plug to PSP battery mobo . And yes u can use much higher then max made PSP battery MAH capacity . The PSP will charge that normal and use normal - only diffrent will by much more houers of use PSP on battery.
