Hello. Possible soft brick? Or hardware issue?

Post by x-M4-x »

I have a PSP 1001. Running 6.61 ProCFW

Any slight bump or just randomly sometimes, It will shut off, ill attempt to turn it back on and the green light illuminates for 30 seconds and then goes off.

I thought maybe it was due to my memory stick(Using a adapter with a 32gb microSD) I changed it out with a 1gb mem stick and same thing.

Now what I do is hold home + r + power and it will turn on.

If i do home + r it wont go into recovery at all.

Usually it happens with any game and it happned earlier while tuning a car in mc3.

As for bumps if you lightly tap near the memory slot it does this. But every time it does this, home + power + r will make it boot up..

So due to bumps im thinking hardware
And due to the method to power it back up im also thinking soft brick

Any ideas?

If u boot to OFW isnt any hardware problem. Chack if MSPD work on OFW (Shows) - maybe was damaged files on MSPD.

Fast method is reinstall OFW+CFW and all .
