6.20 and 6.60 differences (other than permanent on 3000)?

Post by Mackk » Thu Aug 04, 2016 8:51 am

Hi,

I have a psp 3000 with 6.20, was wondering if there are any there are any differences between 6.20 and 6.60 other than the permanent CFW install on the 3000 with 6.20 (ie: what would 6.60 give me that 6.20 doesn't)? If there are I'd upgrade to 6.60 and use non-permanent, otherwise having 6.20 permanent would be nice.

Update: Found a sort of a changelog here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStati ... m_software

Assuming its just some bug fixes and is required to play some games, or can that be bypassed on a CFW?

Cheers.

Why not just install 6.61 Infinity? its a perma patch for 6.61 with your choice of LME or PRO.

EDIT: Well now it seems Infinity is gone from Davees site so IDK maybe you can find it somewhere else,

I dont see any advantages of using 6.60 or 6.61 infinity over 6.20.
On 6.20 you can use LME 2.3 Perma and every PSP game out there should work just fine. Even if the game needs a firmware higher than 6.20.
The Plugin compatibility ist also good on 6.20.
And i read, that 6.61 infinty can cause fullbricks (I guess with the 1.02 update). Maybe thats why you cant download it. Davee is probably trying to fix it. I was lucky that it didnt brick my PSP Go.
Now i have installed 6.20 LME 2.3 with perma patch on my PSP Go and everything works fine.
