should i get rid of my UMDs?

Post by beautifulman2999 »

i was thinking of keeping all my UMD games around incase a PSP-Clone comes out that would support UMDs (like how the Revo K101 supports official GBA cartridges) but my co-worker thinks that it won't be possible because sony owns the UMD drive technology and whatnot.

Anyways, i asked him if he remembered the mini-disc craze we had back in 1998/1999 and how everyone at school had a third party mini-disc player while the really rich kids had the Sony players instead, anyways i figured that since we had so many different brands of mini-disc player even from back then, in the future there might be PSP clones that would contain third party UMD drives and if i sell off all my UMDs now i might regret it later.

I do however, regret selling all my NDS game carts because the Revo K101 developers are announcing a NDS clone that would play real NDS cartridges. so...yeah.....

So what do you guys think? should i just sell all my UMDs or should i keep them around in case a PSP clone comes out? :geek:

Yea because clone manufacturers care about ownership and licensing rights....
