Most of us have Android phones with OTA function which you can connect extremal flash memory ( if 128 GB micro sd card isn't enough or expensive for you) buy a few 64 GB flash memory with micro USB connection, keep your games there and send to PSP's ISO folder with Superbeam application even where there isn't any network around.
Oh no! I'd say it is very important to have 400 GB in the PSP directly. In fact, there's nothing more convenient and fun than a PSP with 400 Gb worth of stuff on it without the hassle of transferring on demand from another device.

Imagine all the good PS1 games, all the large ScummVM games (1.8.0 for PSP was just released), all the other emulators including even the cd-based games, and on top of that the full collection of all worthwhile PSP titles and minis without slowdown from .cso encryption, all in one device without ever swapping anything.

In fact the PSP beats down pretty much all modern smartphones in terms of storage space and convenience. AFAIK smartphones are JUST KNOW starting to support dual microsd.

The only minor annoying thing is that with such large storage on the PSP, you pretty much have to resort to use the categories_lite plugin to sort your stuff on the PSP into folders, because loading a single folder with so much contained in it takes several minutes. But with categories lite and a few folders such as "PSP A - F", "PS1 A - F", etc.

You mentioned OTA. I tried to use that on my Android device, and honestly, who wants to have this annoying cable hanging from their phone? And then connect another memory device to that cable, and then connect that wirelessly to the psp and transfer stuff? That sounds like a huge inconvenience. How long does the transfer take? Do you have to have both your phone and PSP out at the same time? I'd say why not simply put it all on the PSP to begin with. And in addition, even with OTA it will still be a bit difficult to find a good solution for 400 Gb or more, because you still need to find a very large usb stick, preferably one that is not bulky.

Of course it's easier but with PSP go both need hard mod and even after that it's still costy. There are flash memories coming with mini usb so you don't need to connect an extra cable.

It's speedy while I took my coffee from I Starbucks it copied 350 mb game which I just downloaded from Web but since Web browser doesn't have iso location for saving it's resting in music folder and I can't carry it to ISO

I love this, tried it on my PSP 3004 eons ago, buuuut...I've had some problems and idk if they're related to the memsticks or the converter itself. I'm using a CR-5400 bought off AliExpress (prolly fake one), 2x32 gig, dang perfect, everything I want is on em. But, sometimes, the memstick isn't identified so I need to put it to sleep and turn it on again for the stick to appear. Ever had that problem on your psp? Said psp listed in signature

Yes the same thing happens to me every once in a while. Every about 10 times I wake up the PSP, the stick is not detected properly, and I have to put it to sleep and wake it up again. No clue why it happens, but it is a minor annoyance that I can tolerate.

I'm having that same problem with the memory stick adapter not recognizing sporadically. I'm guessing the cheap adapter(not the white one) I got off ebay is the culprit.

For ppl with sporadic read and write drop outs of their cr5400 & or clone.

And yes 128GB works rather well, sometimes the adapter will not be recognized but that is an issue with the pins from adapter to sd cards. The slightest pressure on the adapter and or sd cards will make it work again.
Be advised to only use the same type of sd cards (same brand, same type, same size) this has a major impact on performance as well as functionality, some sh*tty chinese clone cards only make trouble and never work good.

How often do those not read?... I mostly had problems with repetitive sleep mode and power up but only after the 15th or whatever it was circle.
Sometimes the psp wants a clean restart / boot up. If you encounter such thing just power off the psp and reboot it. Problem fixed.
I had that covered some few years ago.

Also had two clone adapters... which were allergic to air pressure. Especially noticeable when playing in a plane at high altitude. Then those adapters REGULARLY dropped out. I resolved that with a thin piece of paper between the upside of the memory card and the cr5400's encasing.

So a thin shim can make better contact of the pins inside the adapter. I think that's how I'm reading that.

Yup, you got it. You could also just put a small square of thin tape on the micro sd. That is enough distance, that the sd cards sit just a tiny bit tighter.

I also cleaned the contacts with an alcohol spray, some few years ago while I was trying to find out, why they sporadically didn't want to work. It didn't improve but also didn't worse the situation.

What I also had with one of the noname dual adapters was, that the very thin pins inside (in the micro sd slot) one was bent. I opened that one with a box cutter and when I had that tiny board in front of me, I used a tweezer to pick that one bent pin to correct position. Put in the tiny board again into the plastic casing, and glued it together with a drop of plastic glue.
For testing purposes I would not glue it together, I would just tape the two casing halfes together. You can always glue it afterwards.
