I don't know if this kind of threads is allowed. hope it is. Just let me clarify the situation.

As we all know, sony disallowed usage of CDDA on home-made eboots after POPS firmware 4.01. This means you will just hear silence with CDDA PSX games if you use a POPS version above 4.01. There are a lot of great games which have brilliant audio track, but are just silent in PSP. here is a list, i know it is missing some games, but it should give an idea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pl ... dio_tracks

You must have noticed some of these games are downloable on PSN and have music. Sony uses an undocumented codec/compression for them. it is still not known and we can't use it on homemade eboots.

We can use popsloader but popsloader is really problematic on PSP 3000 and PSP GO. on PSP GO, audio is only on headphones for CDDA supporting POPS versions. It also letterboxes the TV OUT image. Also higher versions of POPS generally have better compatibility, so it would be great to be able to use CDDA on 6.60 POPS.

I know it is a huge task and not many devs are still around in PSP scene. That is why i wanted to start a bounty thread about this.

1) Anyone who wants to donate any amount of money to a dev who accomplishes this, will write under this thread and i will add it to the main list here.
2) Nobody will pay anything until a dev releases it.
3) Do not pledge if you are not going to pay when it is released.
4) All donations will be done to the dev. Not to me, not to a third party.

Also this might have benefits to the VITA POPS too. afaik it is very similar to 6.60 POPS and again lacks CDDA support. Only difference i could find between 6.60 POPS and Vita POPS is Vita POPS supports 0-9 compression level where 6.60 POPS supports 1-9.

I accepted this challenge and worked for 10h on a solution and who wouldn't have thought it, I succeed. Though it was not simple at all: I had to reverse lots of parts of the big (1.1MB) POPS module and I had to understand them. When I found the failure, it was needed to track the bug till its origin, there I set the patch. And now, tadaa, I enabled CDDA for 6.60/6.61 PSPs, a bug that not even Dark_AleX could solve. A release is planned soon with source code included.

I never thought that it's easy to find a exploit in a 1.x Mb pops, nor to find another lucky exploit as simple as the first one.
