Hey guys,

So I have this PSP 2000, when it first came into my hands it had sound. It was on version 2.81 or 3.2-ish (I recieved two PSPs at the time, one for me and one for my friend and I can't remember which was which). Anyways, after upgrading to 6.60 ME-1.8 I no longer get sound at all! Not from the speakers nor the headphone jack. I do not remember an exact time that it happened; ie: if it was the official 6.60 or the CFW.

I remember messing with the Flash0 and Flash1 a while ago (custom themes) and thought perhaps something touched or messed up the one responsible for audio. Any advice or ways to check? A debug homebrew? Thanks

:ugeek:

A firmware update replaces every file inside of the flash0, regardless of you using custom themes via ctf or via the flash0.

Delete/rename your /seplugins/ folder and see if something changes.

Otherwise it should be a hardware defect.

Yes but the problem only came about when I decided to add a CFW. Before that it was fully working on >3.2ish.

Oh and deleting my SE folder did not help :P

Try reflashing the psp

Which way should i do so? Reflash 6.60? Or go through the process of a Pandora battery? I am a bit skeptical of doing the Pandora method but other than that i don't think i could flash again. You can't flash the same firmware. :s

Or should I copy someone's flash0 and flash 1 files through usb? :p

Download the Chronoswitch Downgrader: http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/949
Download 6.60 OFW: http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/947
Put their folders to PSP/GAME/here, run the Chronoswitch Downgrader and re-flash 6.60.
If the problem goes away try installing 6.60 PRO-C and see if the problem persists: http://wololo.net/download.php?f=660Pro-C-fix3.zip

Downgraded to 5.00 m33 using pandoras battery and during the flashing, the speakers cracked! :D. Afterwards the speakers continued to crack. I am going to downgrade to 1.50 OFW but for some reason PSPTools is giving me a hard time. It wants a 1.50 "update" PBP instead of the official 1.50.PBP? I renamed UPDATE.PBP to 150.PBP. Maybe its being picky and doesnt like it. Or do I need something else?
