Q: Can't put PSP into 'sleep mode'

Hello!

This is a weird error that I have been getting since I downgraded my PSP 3003 (09g) to 6.20 and applied the permapatch. I tried googling it with no luck.

Every time I try to go to 'sleep mode' (push the power button up and then release), it blinks for a few times and then the green light stays on. It stays on from 2-10 seconds until the PSP shuts down. When I boot it up again, it acts as if I had completely shut it off and displays the "Sony Entertainment" screen (and goes into XMB wherever I am (e.g. in-game)). It's really frustrating to play games like this, because I have to get to a save-point if I want to turn my PSP off. I've been using hold.prx as a temporary solution but that wastes battery.

I THINK it might be like so because the PSP freezes and crashes when I try to go into sleep mode, but I have no idea what's been causing this. I've tried disabling all plugins but it still does this. Really frustrating!

I'm pretty sure that it's a problem with the software and not the hardware, because this PSP is pretty darn new and it started doing this ever since I downgraded to 6.20 and applied the permapatch.

I would be really grateful if somebody could tell me how to fix this.

You have semi-bricked your device! You have to run sleepfix plugin. I hope you got a nan dump.
A standard fw shouldn´t work without some tricks^^

Use 6.20 Sleepfix Plugin
And Set your CPU CLOCK GAME to 222/111 or Default.
This should fix yOur kind of bugs.

Either try to use this sleep fix plugin (have to set XMB CPU CLOCK to default):

Or update your PSP with this physical updater (if needed) to a higher FW and use LME or PRO temporarely:

In any case, the plugin seems to have not fixed it for the xmb (but it seems okay with games). Tried clocking to default and 222/111, but still crashes.

Well, the main thing is that it doesn't crash when in-game, so that's good.

If it hasn't fixed it then update to a higher firmware (6.60 I recommend) and use PRO or LME CFW.

Thanks Guys.This Works On My Psp 3006 09g Module Which Is Downgraded From 6.60 To 6.20 And Now Its 04g Module..This Works When In Game And Also Works In XMB.Thank You Guys.

Hi all,

I was having the problem of unable to put to sleep mode too.

I tried downloading the 6.20 sleepfix plugin. But i dont know whether i did put the plugin in the correct location.

Now the problem got worse. I cannot even load my games. When it show the playstation portable out, it will auto shutdown. cannot load games at all.

Hope anyone got a solution to share. Any help will be much appreciated!
