Sonymon [beta]

Post by V@ughn » Fri Dec 23, 2011 4:35 pm

Hello all!
If you don't know me I am V@ughn (also go by bloodles), nice to meet you :D. I am if anything an ambitious psp developer and I plan on making some of the greatest psp homebrew games out there one day, and as my first post on this forum I would like to share with you the latest update on my current project Sonymon :D

Sonymon is a 2d game that resembles pokemon in a lot of ways however the plot, goal, and artwork are a lot different. I have built the foundation of applying values and stats to each sonymon based on only their level and id(standard number each sonymon is assigned).

Below is a video I have made to better demonstrate what this project is all about:
There are still some obvious problems like the map and battle systems but they are under work as you are reading this ;)

So as to let you guys test it out and give suggestions or simply comment here is a download link:

yeah story mode had a lot of bugs in this build :/
its not yet ready anyway

thanks I will edit my post :)

EDIT: the eboot is only that large because its signed... the unsigned version is about 5MB smaller

You should download easypbprx and sign the unsigned eboot, it also shrinks it usually smaller than the original size of the unsigned eboot

Good luck with the project :D

But can slow it down on some speed critical homebrews.
Funny stuff

<yifanlu> rooting an android is like getting a hooker pregnant
<xerpi> I sometimes think I should leave all this stressing **** and be a farmer instead

If you say so, but even in my homebrews signing the eboot has made no difference in speed, even in TDR which is very dependent on speed.
