PopsDeco

Post by popsdeco » Sat Jul 02, 2011 5:00 pm

This homebrew prepares all popsloader(for 6.xx PRO of course) modules for you.
Based on Xenon's old popsloader extracter

Readme:
*** PopsDeco CC0 ***
I have seen applications like this but they didn't meet my need.
Only this meet both of these: 4.01 extract and free to redistribute.

Well, I thought I could enter competition with PopsDeco, but it is over...

@takka, never die. your real life isn't over yet, though your PSP life might be.
---

Usage:
Put popsdeco folder to ms0(ef0):/PSP/GAME/
Put VER.pbp to ms0:/

0.10.110702 [6.39]
Ported from 0.05.110702 for 6.xx PRO popsloader.

0.11.110704
Optimized ICON0.png
Now this extracts 610-GO.pbp / 620-GO.pbp / 635-GO.pbp (/ 639-GO.PBP)

0.12.110816
Updated psardumper backend to 6.60.
Now backends are common with rev1.

0.13.110817
Fixed degrades in 6.60 psardumper backend:
1. 6.35/6.39 decryption failed.
2. 6.10/6.20 PSPgo's table_mode was misdetected as 4.

0.13a.110821
Removed 3.00/3.01/5.05 feature. 3.00/3.01 are the same as 3.02 and 5.05 is the same as 5.03.

you wouldt be able to enter if its not your work ...

edit: heres the original:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7410&start=20#p82806
how about you give som credit to Xenon for creating this in the first place ...?
edit 2: if you got permission from Xenon, you should have just wrote that right here, instead of sending me a pm ... however, i belive it is open source so there would actually be no need to ask him, as long as you release the source as well as dont forgetting his name (as you did), but IMHO changeing the name of the program might have been a bit unnecessary, you should rather try to have it extract 5.00/5.50/6.10 pops modules as well, instead.
i allready tryed to do this, but i am unsure if i did it correct, however i just commented it out, you could take a look at the source i provided and see if its correct ...

Base PSAR dumper is too old, so I had to update it.
Also PRO popsloader's directory structure is different from M33's.

Is there any difference between PopsDeco and 6.xx Popsloader Installer?

I think the difference is mainly on the fact that popsdeco also recognizes the GO versions of the firmware now.
PSP-3006 Model 03g
5.03 GEN-B > 5.03 GEN-C > 5.03 Prome-4 > 6.35 PRO-B3 > (downgrade) 6.20 PRO-B4 to B7 (Perm) > 6.20 PRO NIGHTLY (Perm)
