Lexar Memory Stick
Lexar Memory Stick
I've been thinking of upgrading to an 8gb memory stick for some time, and was excited to find out about lexar, which offers what appears to be the same memory stick for a 2/3 the price. However, on further research, i found debate over whether homebrew capabilities such as pops or .prx's would work fully with a lexar memory stick. Some claimed it wouldn't work as it was designed for cameras (Seemed a little unsubstantiated to me) and others said there was a problem, but that it was fixed now. I'd like to know what your opinion is.

Re: Lexar Memory Stick
Well, I know for myself, I picked up a 16Gb MS M2 Micro off of eBay. About $35US, came with the MS ProDuo adapter too (so non-gos can use it), so, that might be a less costly alternative to consider. Its not used in many devices (the go is the only one, AFAIK,) making it cheaper than a ProDuo card.
And in regard to your main question. There shouldn't be much difference in the card from another company, or the PSP wouldn't be able to use it. Just format the card using the PSP (if needed), and it should work fine.

Re: Lexar Memory Stick
Sorry, I might have been a bit vague with my question. I'd like to know if a lexar memory stick is homebrew compatible.

Re: Lexar Memory Stick
It should be compatible as long as it is a real memory stick. Never buy memory sticks off of Ebay. THe only compatibility prob that I know of is MMS making with fake sticks. Sony just wants you to buy there's at a much higher cost!

Re: Lexar Memory Stick
Thanks for the info. Seeing as how I have a 3000, a MMS is a moot point.
