It never worked for me on HBL 109(OFW 6.20, psp 3001).
So I gave up and tried pspdisp. Not as good as I thought it would be but, it works...

did it boot on your psp tho lol it booted on mine but it didnt load on the pc

Sorry for long time no reply, there are others. For example JJS's PSPdisp here.
Also, games like Doom on the PSP use wifi for multiplayer.
