So can this be used to flash a LCFW as a CFW? SO lets say if I wanted to flash LME or PRO module to a 3000 09g 6.60?

This would be groundbreaking.

007, no. This doesn't allow a permanent Custom Firmware to be installed. What this does is that it replaces certain modules from the PSP's flash0 with the reverseed engineered ones which you can modify. (I think I got that correct, not exactly sure)

When you install CFW/LCFW the files are written to flash0:/kd/, the same method is done with the uOFW files but they're written to the root of flash0:/ instead.

If they would replace the original /kd/ files, the PSP would be bricked if it replaces the right (well, or wrong) files.

If you edit the original files, they arent signed anymore, and the IPL of the PSP refuses to load the file.

If it is an important file, then the PSP wont start.

That's why they don't use official names when installing CFW modules to flash0:/kd/, and there are no modules at the root of flash0:/.

Okay, excuse me for sounding dumb, but theoretically what could be done once this project is complete? I understand the importance of having something open-sourced, but what could actually be added, how far out of the original firmware constraints can we go?

How far is left to go? I'm genuinely worried this could go the same was as the utopia kernel, can the community incentivise the devs to put more time and effort in? e.g. Kickstarter? If therre was a kickstarter I'd pledge $100 right off of the bat. I want people to copy paste this, quote it or whatever. I would stick to this.
