I am running PRO CFW C NIGHTLY, i have a psp 3000, brite. all of the .txt files have been edited properly, I have tried using the regular remotejoy and coldbirds version. when i plug in my psp the computer recognises it as a storage device, for some reason it isnt seeing it as a slidshow device anymore beyond the wmp thing that it apparently shouldnt be doing. I know how to use plugins, if i can figure out how to root and run a custom rom on an android i think this is a cake walk, but remotejoy is tempremental from what I've seen, I've also gotten atpro to run, i just need to get a cradle point for my phone to DMZ. I currently use POPS, category and the FFT fix. before anyone asks, yes, i turn everything off but the rmj plugin when i use it. here i'll load up the dsp eboot and see what happens.

the eboot is pspdisp v0.6
loading eboot
starting usb mode and opening rmj-en
rmj-en window says waiting. PSP says waiting for data
now the psp displays my windows screen and what I'm typing into this post.
closing eboot and disconnecting psp

Starting monster hunter portable 3rd
opening rmj-en
connecting usb after game starts.
no dice.

i'm not sure how that's going on like that, but from the main problem of your psp recognizing it as a storage device, it sounds like you may not have the psp type-b driver installed properly. one thing i would do to test properly is to enable remotejoy plugin in vsh.txt, if you haven't, and try if it'll work on xmb. if it loads there, you should be good to go, save for it working on games due to ram capacity or whatever. like in my example (i use linux, rather than windows, btw, so i got extra steps that causes the errors i get), i can get remotejoy to work on vsh, but when i load a game, remotejoy locks up, and won't display the screen even after i refresh it. only time i got it to work was when i loaded wagic

ok, don't load up pspdisp on your psp, you only have to install it on your pc to get the signed psp type-b driver.

try just enabling it in the vsh and see if it shows up. If everything is installed correctly, the main psp screen should be displayed.

so assuming that you have remotejoylite installed on your vsh.txt:

1) make sure you have the plugin enabled

2) restart VSH

3) after the psp has loaded, open the exe file on your computer and plug in the usb cable.

If nothing shows up, it probably means that you don't have your driver installed correctly, so try following this guide and try again.
My PSPs:
Spoiler
PSP 3002 (03g) 6.60 PRO-C (thanks Coldbird & Virtuous flame!)
PSP 2002 (02g) 6.60 ME-1.8 (thanks Neur0n!)

If you want anything translated to/from japanese (to/from english) for your Homebrew, send me a PM and I'll see if I can help :)

ok, so that seemed to help. its not seeing the psp as a mass storage device anymore but the screen isnt showing up in either version of the windows software. I installed with unsigned drivers enabled and I am using it with unsigned drivers enabled

---------

The PC isn't seeing it as psp type-b its seeing it as a libusb win32 device and all attepts to update to the drivers in the rmj folder have come back with "these drivers are already up to date"

now you also got pspdisp / most likely installed at your pc to. Try to use it with usb it should work now if you disable rmj.
Maybe you blocked it (driver or whatever) in your firewall... if this is the case (pspdisp doesn´t work to) install rmj to another floder.
Pspdisp contain a firewall adoption if you install it 1st time^^

You must close PSPdisp on the PC if you want to use Remotejoy! Otherwise the two programs will block each other.
