9g models won't support downgrading to 6.20, so I have to stick with the latest firmware.

6.20 PRO-B10 on my PSP Go (Permanent) and 6.60 PRO-B10 (CIPL Permanent) on my semi broken 2g.

Using that setup to test online mode configurations and ensure they work on both 6.20 and 6.60 kernel... (sometimes you just miss that damn nid before compiling and wonder why it works on one kernel but not the other...).

As for Z, yeah he has a certain disliking to PRO so I think he was ninja-trolling the topic by hinting he uses (L)ME.

I would say, if you have to choose between 6.60 and 6.20 pro, use the 6.20 if you want to use perma patch, if not use 6.60 pro.

My experience

If your PSP can take advantage of full CFW, 6.60 ME/6.20 PRO are superior.
I have 6.20 permanent on the GO, updated a previous 6.20 slim to 6.60 ME.

The only problems I had with me was finding plugins that were compatible again but once that was done, everything was back to normal.
Before going to ME I went to 6.60 PRO and nothing functioned properly. Never went back

If you can take advantage of permament slight edge to 6.60 ME simply because 6.60 is more recent.
If you can't 6.20/6.39 Pro or 6.60 LME. Since this thread is strictly PRO...

I don't see the benefits of the permanent patch and I prefer to be on the latest firmware.

Uhmmm..! Actually I'm Using 6.20 because of the perma patch!

and I don't want to upgrade anymore if the new CFW doesn't have a perma patch..

and I Don't want some extra application like qriocity.

use debug region 2 to have no applications on xmb, also i will choose 6.39 if i will go back from 6.60,
just cause adhoc file transfer homebrew still work on 6.39...

anyway i like more to stay on latest official firmware, but modified...
