Does anyone know of a way to permanetly install custom firmware for 6.60 (safely)? I already have 6.60 pro-b9 but still, it gets annoying when I always need to enable it. And also, does custom firmware affect the battery or the UMD disk? Thanks :D

You need to have a hackable system. If not, there's no way.

CFW AFAIK doesn't affect the battery or your UMD. Some plugins in fact help you saving some battery.

First, you need to confirm that you have a fully hackable PSP. A fully hackable PSP, is a PSP 1000, or a PSP 2000 with a motherboard that isn't a TA-088 v3. You can check your motherboard by using PSPident. A PSP 3000 and PSP Go aren't fully hackable, period, and you will brick if you attempt to install a permanent custom firmware on those devices.

Now if you do have a fully hackable PSP, then what you can do is use 6.60 PRO-B9's CIPL (custom ipl) flasher. This will make your 6.60 PRO-B9 a permanent custom firmware. An alternative permanent custom firmware is 6.60 ME-1.6.

aw if you really want a permanent cfw downgrade to 6.20 and install PRO-B9 along with the permanent patch
cuz the CIPL flasher isn't for your psp it's for fully hackable psp try to install it and you'lll end up a nice brick ;)

You can't use a permenant custom firmware on a PSP 3000, I told you that. There aren't any motherboards available for a 3000 that are fully hackable.

So you're stuck with what you have, unless you want to downgrade to 6.20 and use the "perma-patch", to get a technically permenant custom firmware on your 3000. I do not recommand this, because you risk an unnecessary brick when dealing with these things. It's your choice though.

what i do is use standby all the time.
psp's have a very efficient standby mode with almost no battery drain.
and it's safer to have an easy way to disable cfw.

:) yeah, standby, thats good. my older brother uses standby all the time. I just think its better to shut down to 'refresh' your system, and once I put it to sleep mode and the battery almost ran out! But thanks :D
