I thought you couldn't restore a NAND dump on a 3000. What hb app do you use to dump/restore NAND on a 3k? I've always been told it was a instabrick.

You can, but it MUST be a NAND backup from the exact same PSP you are using it on. (Using some others PSPs NAND backup is what = insta-brick)

Okay this ive made:

PSP 3000 with 6.20:

Load 6.20 TN-E (Nickname was "The Z") --> Make Nand Dump --> Changed nickname to "Th" --> Restored the Nand Dump --> PSP is NOT Bricked and it boots the 6.20 OFW with the nickname "The Z"


So it works on PSP 3000, what means that PSP Go should work too (Ive no Go for testing it :/)

I'll update to 6.35 and try the restore of 6.20 again, when it works, then its the same like on 1000 or 2000!

Okay, the 6.20 was on the 3000. Then ive updated to 6.35 OFW. Then installed 6.35 PRO-B5, disabled the flash0 feature and restored the 6.20 nand dump...

And guess what? The PSP Boots the 6.20 OFW

So it works

"Version Change" via OWN nand dump is possible for PSP 1000, 2000, 3000... GO is not confirmed...

I used nand manager 0.5 ...

Some semis we can repair (if you have permenent cfw for recovery menu!) like missing rco files, but cant repair a semibrick because files from the kd folder are missing.
If the wrong file is gone, your psp is fullbricked!


Edit: Ive tested the Nand Restore on my new PSP Go -> And it Works

Hey, thanks. Thanks for including source thread & excerpts spoiler too. I knew swapping NAND dumps between PSPs was a no-no. It's great to know you can restore it on 3000/Go too. Makes the idea of using this downgrader before 5.1 is released much safer.
