How to fully brick a psp 1000 on purpose

Post by Skimbo »

I have a weird problem in that I need to replace the mobo in my psp 1000. I ordered one from Ebay but it has some weird CFW on called 3.04- OE-A. for the life of me I cannot get rid of it or. The hellcats recovery software keeps saying that it won't run unless I have a firmware higher than 2.71. Everything is confusing on how to to downgrade this. I don't knows if it is a version of m33 or what.

The easiest fix I can seem to think of now is to somehow Fully Brick the PSP on purpose and then I am thinking that unbricking it should take it back to its' native OEM state.

Any ideas on how to do this. I do not have a pandora battery. The directions for making one are on mediafire but they won't let you download files now unless you purchase upgraded software from them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

HellCat Recovery Flasher itself can make a pandora battery, what you want is the MMS files which can be setup with this here

http://www.brewology.com/downloads/down ... 254&mcid=1
And here is the 5.00 update itself which you will need.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/07uldo61p ... FW+500.zip

While there are software only ways of getting out of the OE firmwares I think a full OFW install of 5.00 with pandora should fix that up.
From there you can go to 6.61 or whatever.

EDIT: found an old guide made just for people stuck on OE!
