Which CFW to go with?

Post by rpgfanatic808 » Sun Jul 31, 2016 4:48 am

Hey folks, I'm just getting back into my PSP. Nostalgia for my PSX classics had me bust out my old PSP :) I was wayyy into hacking PSPs back in the day (think 2006, gosh I'm getting old...), but have fallen out of the loop in recent years.

Here's what I still have: Pandora Battery, MMS, PSP Phat 1001 (OFW)

I still roughly know what I'm doing, and can pretty easily get my phat running CFW again, my question is...which CFW to run? Back in my day, there was no 3000, and the T83 MB had just come out. I assume that a lot of the more modern CFW, like PRO, are tuned for the newer

Could someone tell me which CFW is the most up to date, but will still work smoothly on my PSP 1001? I want to permapatch it. Any help or points in the right direction would be appreciated!!

I would install the 6.60 ME 2.3 CFW. Thats probably the best for your PSP 1000. You can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/la4k3 ... ion%29.zip
But first you need to install the 6.60 OFW. You can download it here: http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/947
Then just copy the ME installer on your PSP and start it from the XMB.
Its permanent and can play any PS1 game (and PSP games off course).

Thanks much! Do I even need my Pandora battery and MMS anymore?
And why do you recommend ME over PRO?
